HARRISBURG – Rep. Jim Gregory (R-Blair/Huntingdon) today announced the release of almost $245,000 in state funds to Antis Township for upgrades to the Bellwood-Antis Community Park.
Gregory advocated for the funding through the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Greenways, Trials, and Recreation Program, which is used to fund projects related to planning, acquisition, development, repairs and rehabilitation of greenways, recreational trails, and parks.
“Investing in our Commonwealth’s parks is an essential part in providing a safe environment for our children, families, and communities to learn, grow and spend time together,” Gregory said. “By making these upgrades in Bellwood-Antis Community Park, we are providing a safer area for more recreational activities for people in our area.”
