HARRISBURG – Gov. Tom Wolf presented a fanciful budget today that would spend an additional $6.2 billion in 2022-23, which is a concept simply not rooted in reality, according to Rep. Jim Gregory (R-Blair).

“When the governor was speaking, I couldn’t help but to repeatedly think, ‘You can’t handle the truth,’” Gregory said. “The governor’s plan would create an additional $17 million in new spending each day. How is that even remotely reasonable? I’m glad the governor’s address is finished, so we can start the hard work of negotiating a truer budget for the coming year.”

Gregory said he is committed to reining in spending, so future generations are not saddled with additional debt.
