HARRISBURG – Rep. Jim Gregory (R-Blair) will host a forum Saturday, March 7, for hunters concerned about chronic wasting disease (CWD) in the deer population.

Pennsylvania Game Commission Executive Director Bryan J. Burhans will speak at the event, which is scheduled for 9-10 a.m. at Freedom Fire Hall, 139 Municipal St., East Freedom.

Sportsmen for the Future of PA representatives, U.S. Rep. John Joyce (R-Pa.) and Sen. Judy Ward (R-Blair/Cumberland/Franklin/Fulton/Huntingdon) will participate in the event as well.

“It has been a year since the Game Commission proposed culling the deer herd in Bedford and Blair counties. I, like many of my constituents, want to know more about what the Game Commission plans to do in this area and how much CWD has spread here,” Gregory said.

Those who want to attend the forum should RSVP to Gregory’s Hollidaysburg office at 814-695-2398.
